Precautions for using diamond grinding wheel

time:2025-07-14 18:28:29hit:5

(1) Diamond grinding wheels are only suitable for processing high-hardness materials, and are not suitable for grinding general steel or other soft materials.

(2) After the diamond grinding wheel is installed on the flange, it must also be statically balanced before use. Do not remove the grinding wheel from the flange before use, which can extend the service life of the grinding wheel.

(3) The machine tool using diamond grinding wheels should have good rigidity, high rotation accuracy of the main mechanism, and be able to make micro-lateral feed.

(4) The grinding amount should be selected appropriately.

(5) Coolant should be used as much as possible during grinding, which can not only improve grinding efficiency and grinding quality, but also reduce grinding wheel wear. Commonly used coolants include kerosene, light diesel and light gasoline, and kerosene is generally preferred.

(6) When a new diamond grinding wheel is used, it also needs to be trimmed in order to obtain the correct shape. WA180L5V oilstone (clamped in a vise) can be used for trimming. If you find that the grinding wheel is not sharp enough or is blocked during the grinding process, you can also hold the silicon carbide sanding strip and carefully trim the working surface of the grinding wheel.

(7) Diamond grinding wheel is a precious grinding tool. It cannot be placed randomly, nor can it be exposed to moisture, corrosion, impact, etc. It should not be exposed to high temperature.

Diamond grinding wheel maintenance

(1) The inner diameter correction and positioning hole processing of the diamond grinding wheel must be carried out by the manufacturer. If the processing is poor, it will affect the use of the product and may cause danger. In principle, the hole expansion should not exceed 20mm of the original hole diameter to avoid affecting the stress balance.

(2) If the diamond grinding wheel is not used immediately, it should be placed flat or hung up by the inner hole. Other items should not be stacked on the flat saw blade or stepped on, and attention should be paid to moisture and rust prevention.

(3) When the diamond grinding wheel is no longer sharp and the cutting surface is rough, it must be re-grinded in time. Re-grinding cannot change the original angle or destroy the dynamic balance.
