The diamond grinding wheel must be installed before it is put into use.
Correct installation is the basic work to ensure the normal and long-lasting operation of the grinding wheel.
If the grinding wheel is installed incorrectly, it will not only affect the normal operation and efficiency of the grinding wheel,
but also shorten the service life of the grinding wheel and damage it on the spot.
What a tragic thing it is that the newly bought grinding wheel is damaged before it is used.
Therefore, you must pay attention when installing the grinding wheel.
The following mainly introduces the five steps for correct installation of the grinding wheel:
(1) Check whether the characteristics of the grinding wheel meet the use requirements and whether the grinding wheel and the spindle size match.
(2) Assemble the grinding wheel freely on the grinding wheel spindle and do not squeeze it hard.
The clearance between the inner diameter of the grinding wheel and the spindle and chuck should be appropriate to avoid being too large or too small.
The matching surface should be clean and free of debris.
(3) The chuck of the grinding wheel should be symmetrical on both sides, and the radial width of the pressing surface should be equal.
The pressing surface should be flat, fully in contact with the side of the grinding wheel,
and the clamping should be firm to prevent the two sides of the grinding wheel from being deformed or even broken due to the unbalanced force.
(4) A flexible material pad of a certain thickness (such as asbestos rubber sheet, elastic cardboard or leather, etc.)
should be sandwiched between the chuck and the end face of the grinding wheel to evenly distribute the clamping force of the chuck.
(5) The tightness of the tightening of the grinding wheel should be sufficient to prevent the grinding wheel from sliding, but not too tight.
When tightening a large chuck with multiple bolts, they should be tightened gradually and evenly in pairs along the diagonal direction.
It is forbidden to tighten the bolts in sequence along the circumferential direction or tighten a single bolt at a time.
Only a standard wrench can be used to tighten the grinding wheel chuck. It is forbidden to use an extension wrench or to increase the tightening force by knocking.
