Cold saw is a new type of metal cutting tool. Its main feature is that no heat is generated during cutting, hence the name "cold saw".

It boasts advantages of high efficiency, high precision, low cost, environmental protection and energy saving,

and is widely used in manufacturing, construction, automobile manufacturing and other industries.

For cold saw grinding, the front angle has a special geometry. Grinding the front angle imposes strict requirements on the profile retention of the grinding wheel. Our company has developed dedicated grinding wheels to meet this demand. The specific performance data are as follows:

  • Machine: Bushwalk cold saw front angle grinder

  • Saw blade specification: 285×2.0×1.75×32×72T

  • Grinding wheel specification: D2 125×32×3×2 D64-TS/P C100

  • Grinding parameters: Wheel speed set at 3600 rpm; stock removal per pass 0.2 mm; feed rate 15 mm/min for flat feed, 30 mm/min for inclined feed.

  • Dressing trigger: Front edge not straight or front angle out of tolerance by 1°.

  • Dressing interval: Dressing after grinding 140 saw blades.

This wheel maintains a straight front edge all through the grinding process. Dressing is only required when the angle exceeds tolerance.

Each dressing consumes a considerable amount of the wheel, so a higher number of workpieces between dressings is preferred.
