Talk about the precautions for installation and disassembly of grinding wheels

The application of grinding wheel is still very extensive. It can be seen in aerospace, mold manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing and other fields. It has a long life and good grinding force, and is deeply favored by people. But what should be paid attention to when installing and disassembling such a popular grinding wheel?


1. Before installing the grinding wheel, it should be carefully checked for cracks and damage by naked eye observation and resonance test;


2. There should be an appropriate gap between the inner hole of the grinding wheel and the flange to prevent the grinding wheel from expanding due to heat during grinding;


3. The diameters of the two flanges must be equal, and their size should not be less than 1/3 of the outer diameter of the grinding wheel; it is not allowed to hit the flange with a hammer or heavy objects to prevent the flange from being damaged and deformed;


4. A gasket should be placed between the flange, gasket and the end face of the grinding wheel to compress it;


5. When tightening, the bolts cannot be tightened too much. When tightening the flange with several bolts, they must be tightened diagonally several times and gradually, and only standard wrenches can be used;

6. The conical hole of the flange and the cone on the spindle of the grinder must be wiped very clean;

7. After the new grinding wheel is statically balanced, when it is installed on the grinder for the first time, it must be idle for 3 to 5 minutes with a protective cover. At this time, no one should be in front of the grinding wheel;

8. When removing the grinding wheel, do not make the wrong rotation direction of the clamping nut.

9. Every time you change the grinding wheel, you must check whether the mushroom head used to lock the grinding wheel in the flange is loose or damaged. If there is any abnormality, stop using the flange;
